The difference in maintaining a large-scale industrial HVAC system could mean millions of dollars in energy savings. On average, HVAC makes up more than 30% of a facility's energy consumption. When speaking of industries like Concrete and Cement, or Plastic Processing, it is imperative that factory workers have well-ventilated work environments. In dealing with Oil and Gas Refineries and Power Plants, Explosion Proof HVAC systems are crucial to assure that the lives of all parties involved are safe and secure, as well as your investment.
Our certified technicians are well trained on all products and services for any facet of the industry in Hazardous Class 1 Division 1 Groups C and D locations and Class 1 Division 2 Groups B C D. Our Engineers have hand-selected manufacturers that are only ISO 9001:2015 certified.

We work on offshore oil and gas platforms, wastewater plants, mining sites, pulp and paper mills, and mobile broadcast trailers. Our crews are rated for hazardous locations, including Class 1 Division 1 and Division 2. The equipment we install comes from ISO 9001:2015-certified manufacturers. That combination suits the most demanding industrial sites in Florida.
Our certified technicians are dispatched around the clock — 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Ocean environments are some of the harshest conditions for HVAC equipment. Add corrosive chemicals and explosive fuels, and few HVAC companies can handle the job.
Our mechanical engineers work only with top-certified manufacturers. We use Severe Duty and Explosion Proof Class 1 Division 2 IEEE 45 marine-duty motors.
We also fit Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S) and Combustible Gas alarms. Grade 316 Stainless Steel cabinets resist corrosion. Technicoat-coated copper coils protect your investment.
02
Wastewater and sewage plants rank among the most corrosive sites on Earth. The cause is a high level of Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S).
Combustible Methane Gas (CH4) adds to the risk. These sites need corrosion-resistant, Explosion Proof HVAC equipment.
For these sites we supply Class 1 Division 2 TEAO Evaporator Motors. We pair them with Class 1 Division 2 TEFC Condenser Motors.
03
Drilling rigs are dangerous, dirty, and noisy environments. Full Explosion Proof Redundancy is a must for drilling platforms and on-site support buildings.
Every minute of downtime costs real money. That's why our manufacturers have spent 40 years developing the right equipment for this industry.
Modular buildings like Drillers Cabins and VFD Buildings need extra care. We fit Redundant Auxiliary Evaporator Blowers and Motors. We add Redundant Auxiliary Condenser Fans. We also build in NFPA 496 compliant Purge and Pressurization. Call us at (305) 888-2421 for the full list.

The oil and gas industry has three parts: upstream, midstream, and downstream. Midstream moves and stores crude and refined products. It also covers wholesale marketing through pipelines.
These pipelines draw huge amounts of power. That builds serious heat at the VFDs (Variable Frequency Drives).
If that heat is not cleared fast, the system can fail. So VFD shelters and Remote Instrumentation Enclosures need 50% redundancy. N+1 Redundancy adds a spare unit, and lead-lag multiplexors switch it on by themselves.
05
We deliver certified safe cooling for critical work in hazardous places. That runs from hot desert sand to polar ice.
Chemicals can splash on electrical gear. There we use Class 1 Division 2 AMCA Type A Spark-Resistant motors on both evaporators and condensers. We add NFPA 496 compliant Purge and Pressurization, plus Corrosive and Combustible Gas Alarms.
Our systems use 16-gauge galvanized steel with industrial powder coating. Coil coatings like Heresite, Technicoat, and Ecoat hold off corrosion. We also supply MERV 8 pre-filters, which upgrade to MERV-11 or MERV-14. Blast Dampers and Auto-changeover microprocessor controls complete these 100% Redundancy systems.
06
Mining and resource extraction are the hardest jobs in industrial HVAC. Landslides, cave-ins, and sudden explosions are all real risks.
Mining throws up fine dust that settles around mechanical and electrical enclosures. Our Severe Duty and Explosion Proof T3 rated motors stop that dust from igniting.
We use general-purpose pressurization to hold 0.1" wc and keep contaminants out. R-134a refrigerant handles heat up to 130°F. Spin Filters catch the heavy particles. Chemical filtration and Combustible, Corrosive, and Toxic Gas Alarms finish the build.
07
Pulp and paper mills are among the most corrosive sites in the world. Paper dust, woodchips, and other particles make ventilation harder still.
Hydrogen sulfide (H2S), chlorine, and sulfur mix with humidity and eat equipment fast. Wood yards and overhead cranes pile on heavy vibration.
These systems need flexible lines and hoses, plus rugged heavy-gauge steel frames. Coatings like Technicoat, Electrofin, and Heresite hold off corrosion. Steady temperature and humidity keep condensation away from the building and the gear. They also keep machine operators alert and safe. Machine Hall, Turbine Hall, Control Room, Boiler Room, and Electrical Room ventilation are our most requested jobs.

Whether you specialize in Local News, Riot Control, or Aviation, PSI is fully equipped to handle any mobile broadcast or command center's HVAC needs.
Mobile Broadcast Trailers and Mobile Command Centers depend on reliable cooling to protect equipment and personnel in the field. 100% Redundancy Dual Units are the norm to prevent downtime.
We've serviced COVID-19 medical trailers, Clean Rooms, MRI and CAT units, and forensic labs. Law enforcement and the military rely on Mobile Command Centers ranging from Berthing Units to Communication Trailers, while aviation applications use Jet Bridge Mounts, Pre-Condition Air (PCA) units, and Air Start Units.
The standard configuration is a wall-mounted 2.5 ton, 8,000–10,000 BTU system, typically mounted to the front or side wall depending on the application.
